Liane - NHS Nurse

October 24, 2024

Liane is a Nurse in the NHS who first came to us in June 2024 having had a stay in hospital followed by and inpatient stint in a Neuro Rehab care home. She suffered a Hypoxic brain injury due to a severe Asthma attack. Liane came to us for two blocks of intensive rehabilitation consisting of 75hrs of Physiotherapy in each block. We worked on balance, core stability, lower limb strength, walking and exercise capacity and upper limb function.

Liane has done amazingly well progressing from needing assistance of two people when walking to being able to walking independently with a wheeled walker. She is now mobilising at home and performing daily tasks such as toileting and performing tasks in the kitchen. Best of all – she was able to travel with her daughter to stay with her in Qatar where she has been able to get into the pool via the steps and soak up some much needed sun! She even has a trip planned next year to see her favourite band in Sweden.

We are so proud of her grit and determination, well done Liane, you rock!!
