Brain Injury Rehabilitation

Traumatic Brian Injury (TBI) rehab makes up a large part of our caseload and we worked with many case managers and legal teams to provide expert care and rehabilitation to their clients. We use a mix of traditional physiotherapy approaches alongside advanced robotic, computer game based, and VR rehabilitation devices to address deficits in both the upper and lower limb following a brain injury.

Following a detailed assessment with a Neurological Physiotherapist we will formulate a detailed treatment programme for you to maximise function and independence, address muscle weakness and spasticity as well as work closely with any other professionals such as occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and orthotists.

Clinic sessions regularly will focus on improving standing, walking and balancing – we can achieve this using advanced robotic technology which encourages a transfer of skills over to walking on land. We will also focus on improving hand arm and shoulder function to help manage spasticity and improve functional capacity in the affected upper limb.

Please feel free to contact us to discuss treatment options for your self or your client.

FAQs

Do you offer personalised brain injury rehabilitation programmes?

Yes, CN Rehab provides individualised treatment plans designed by neurological physiotherapists after a comprehensive assessment. Our programs target muscle weakness, spasticity, gait training, and upper-limb mobility, working in collaboration with occupational therapists, speech therapists, and orthotists to maximise functional independence.

How long does brain injury rehabilitation take to see improvements?

The duration of rehabilitation varies based on the severity of the injury, individual progress, and the intensity of therapy. Many patients experience noticeable improvements within a few months, while others may require long-term therapy for sustained progress. CN Rehab’s tailored treatment plans ensure optimal recovery based on each patient’s unique needs.

What advanced technologies are used in CN Rehab’s brain injury rehabilitation programme?

CN Rehab integrates cutting-edge rehabilitation technologies, including the Lexo Gait Trainer, VR rehabilitation systems, and robotic-assisted therapy to enhance gait training, balance, and upper-limb function. These advanced methods help accelerate recovery by improving motor control, reducing muscle spasticity, and encouraging neuroplasticity.

What is brain injury rehabilitation, and how does it help recovery?

Brain injury rehabilitation is a specialised programme designed to help individuals regain lost functions and improve their quality of life after a traumatic brain injury (TBI) or acquired brain injury (ABI). At CN Rehab, we use a combination of neurological physiotherapy, robotic technology, virtual reality (VR) therapy, and computer-based rehabilitation to enhance recovery, improve mobility, and increase independence.
